My Mother-in-Law is visiting me and this is one of the new recipes she shared with me. She doesn't seem to measure anything so your guess is as good as mine.
Kaleh Gonjeshki or Iranian Potato and Meatballs
Serves 4
For Meatballs
250 gm ground meat
1 grated onion
2 grated potatoes
salt, pepper, turmeric and cumin
For Sauce
1 sliced onion
1/2 cup sliced potatos
1 Tbs tomato paste
water to cover
salt and pepper
Mix the meat, onion, potatoes and spices. Form into small balls. About the size of a ping pong ball. Fry in a little oil. Set aside in a pot. Fry the sliced onion and potatoes. Add the tomato paste. Mix and cover with water. Add to the meat balls and simmer for 15-20 min. Enjoy with flat bread.
